Stepping back from Artemis: Working on some personal projects
Hey, welcome to my medium. I've been drafting and working on several posts for this area, however, the last couple of weeks got a little crazy. I wanted to keep the community and those interested informed on what I am working on, towards, and honestly probably just share a little more about me. So ugh, yeah, hey, I’m Sofa!
This is me. This is mostly what I look like. Went to ETHDenver, and got to meet up with a ton of projects, Harmony core, and people within the Harmony ecosystem. Overall Denver offered some fantastic times, and some of the best foods I have ever eaten. Overall it was a wonderful vacation mixed with networking and relaxation. During this time, I attended a few Harmony talks.
DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), are the central point of the Harmony protocol. In various discussions, I came to realize I wanted to do much more than what I have been doing within the community. Pixel Planets is still in production, I have another (I think) innovative NFT project with some big names of Harmony helping out, and working on some DAO work as well to help projects in the space. My overall goal is to generally build this Layer 1 blockchain with the values of Harmony; Empathy, Passion, Excellence. More on that in future articles though.
A little more about personal Sofa, and then I will get to the part of your reading, I am sure. On the flight back from ETHDenver, I noticed my left ear was aching really bad. Thinking it was part of wearing my mask for 10ish hours (delayed flight), I thought very much less about it. The following day, the left half of my face was completely paralyzed. This is a condition called Bell’s Palsy, and it is typically not a huge deal. So that is what I have been dealing with. A halfassed ability to blink, looking a little stroke ish, and the worst case of mush mouth you’ve ever heard. The average recovery is around two weeks before I will start getting movement back. Tons of prescription drugs and hoping to beat the average.
These are the things that have recently pushed me to step back from Artemis Protocol. Working with Artemis has taken a ton of my personal time. And a ton of my emotional bandwidth. My own personal projects, hobbies, and desires have fallen to the side while building the brand and desires with the team, and I would like to bring some of that personal passion back into my after-hours crypto space. I stand by the need for Artemis; the incubators, launchpads, and more are critical in onboarding the future projects of this space. Tranquility City, Immortl One, and WenLambo are only the beginning of the awesome projects and partnerships we are going to be seeing. I really want to stress here, that my stepping away from Artemis indeed has nothing to do with Artemis, and only the fact that I want to now take some of my own desires of the Harmony ecosystem and bring them to life. I look forward to the things being developed within Artemis and seeing where the brand goes.
Thank you for coming to the Sofa-Talk. I really appreciate this community and the people that are building it up. This is not a place for division. Working together, we will put Harmony Protocol on the map. We will build this ecosystem with some of the coolest Defi, Gamefi, and a ton of other fi stuff. Super excited, and cannot wait to see you out there pumping the hype.
